SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The ability for any high school student to gain experience in a professional environment is invaluable.  Our summer internship program is designed to give students an inside look at professional environments while gaining insight and encouragement from both supervisors and mentors.  In addition we offer pre-employment training to hone pre-existing skills and self-confidence.

For the summer of 2009, High School/High Tech placed 10 interns in various technology-related environments.  HSHT would like to think all of our internship sites: Houston PBS, NASA Johnson Space Center, Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education, Pasadena Animal Shelter, Dionysus Theatre, Mainland Hospital, S.I.R.E., Techs and Trainers and United Cerebral Palsy.  The HS/HT interns again received the pre-employment training and accompanying creative writing workshop.  During the week-long training, interns further advanced their work readiness, writing and leadership skills.

  WARDROBE FOR WORK PROGRAM
